She dished to us all about the new season of her show, her book, a new movie she’s working on and her new venture into fashion!

Stanger is busy with the new season of The Millionaire Matchmaker debuting in August and her book, “Become Your Own Matchmaker: 8 Easy Steps for Attracting Your Perfect Mate.” With her honest advice and no-nonsense approach, Stanger has enjoyed success pairing people together. We caught up with the matchmaker to talk about her many projects.

What is your new partnership with Pucker Vodka?

I’m basically teaming up with Pucker Vodka because I think it’s the perfect fit to kind of break-up and match-up and change the type of drink you’re drinking instead of just drinking soda and vodka why not take a fruity cocktail that matches your personality and show all the guys at the bar you’re fun to be with and interesting.

Viewers who watch The Millionaire Matchmaker know that you request a two drink maximum why is that?

Because I want people to be responsible drinkers just because you drink doesn’t mean you can’t be responsible.

What has been the response to your book: “Become Your Own Matchmaker: 8 Easy Steps for Attracting Your Perfect Mate?”

Become Your Own Matchmaker is basically eight steps to finding the perfect guy and closing the deal with an engagement ring and it’s pretty much the bible. The book’s been selling well for the last two and a half years and now I’m writing a screenplay for it.

So, you’re turning it into a movie?

We’re turning it into a romantic-comedy yes.

What is it about?

The central character is a matchmaker just like me and then she’s like the cobbler without any shoes and her boyfriend of five years doesn’t propose to her so what does she do? She uses the eight steps to find a different guy.

Any names floating around as to who would portray you on the big screen?

Well, I would love a Kate Hudson–I’m actually friendly with her but she’s pregnant right now and she’s going to be starting a second family so I think more like Anne Hathaway type characters. There’s tons of great actresses and I’m a real fan of Lake Bell so I would love for Lake Bell to do this movie I think she’s the most underrated comedic actresses and we’re just not giving her enough time.

The new season of The Millionaire Matchmaker begins in August, are there any new surprises?

There’s a lot more surprises–I’m single now so I’m dating. There’s an episode where I do a mixer and then the other thing that’s also interesting is we’ve got celebrity kind of experts Jenny McCarthy and Tori Spelling things like that.

In addition to being in the public eye was if difficult to also be in your line of work and go through your break-up publicly?

No, Andy and I are still friends. I ended the relationship because it wasn’t right I would have done it whether I was in the public eye or not. When you know its right, you know its right; and it didn’t feel right anymore so I felt that I needed to change it up and go for a different type of guy.

Are there any other new projects you’re overseeing?

Yes, I’m actually going to be licensing some date wear which is really interesting; we’re going to be making clothes–that’s my old business, I was in the garments business for 12 years–where we actually match-up the type of outfit you wear to the date so everything from casual to the LBD collection there’s going to be a whole series of clothes.
